Sanskrit and Greek Poster

By June 13, 2017Uncategorized

We’ve produced a Sanskrit and Ancient Greek poster. In the words of William Jones: “The Sanscrit language, whatever be its antiquity, is of a wonderful structure; more perfect than the Greek, more copious than the Latin, and more exquisitely refined than either, yet bearing to both of them a stronger affinity, both in the roots of verbs and the forms of grammar, than could possibly have been produced by accident.” The poster shows the scripts and sounds of the two languages alongside each other and shows common words that are similar for students to start to awaken to the great similarity these two languages have.
